I noticed a handful of people - upon a double take I counted 6 people holding signs in a very windy downtown which turned out to Pro-Palestine rally. I was disgusted with such a sight, but the person standing next to me was all for the people and went on to tell me her views. Then she heard mine, I was like there was a cease fire and it was previous to October 7th.

All of these morons cheer-leading for Palestine they would slaughter you too! given the chance, it does not matter if your a Democrat or a Republican there would be no sympathy because your liberal mouth is singing their praises.

Killing entire families Moms and Dads, Grandparents, slaughtering babies, including Rape and even shooting the family dog is not OK. Military targets fine but the innocent? This is not about land. These backwards savages have been fighting 400 years before Columbus sailed in 1492 the ocean blue. Yeah.

Then she went on to try to talk about 1948.
It became very apparent that this looser has been indoctrinated by her looser parents and it is abundantly clear that they are loons as well.

Aside from possibly the rape part, both sides have been targeting innocent civilians during my lifetime. The Israelis have done more than their fair share of this. The difference this time vs. other recent conflicts is that

There is some truth to the 1948 part, though. That area has been a hot spot before but was not really one c1900. It has heated up in the past 120 years, not because of any local-on-local violence, but because that is when the Zionist movements started. There have been Jews there since the beginning
of Judaism, as there have been Muslims since the beginning of Islam and Christians since the beginning of Christianity, but most of the Jews there now are of European decent. Their ancestors arrived either during the Zionist movement before WWI, or after WWII.

Those Europeans that arrived had much different ideas about how the land
should be used, who could use it, and about many other things than the natives did... not just native Muslims but all natives. The early Zionists
land-grabs during the Ottoman era did not make any friends of the locals,
and the European Zionists being put in charge after WWII didn't help.

If the British had not gained control of the area after WWII and set up the current state on their departure, I strongly suspect things would be more peaceful there, and I also strongly suspect there would be a lot fewer

There are no "good guys" in this current conflict. When it comes to that area of the World, there rarely are. It is bad guys vs. bad guys, and

Here is something I don't understand. Yesterday Lexington had a city
council meeting and a bunch of protestors showed up there, too. I could see showing up just to protest outside (since they'd have an audience), but
there were a bunch of them that actually went into the meeting and spoke.

I am not sure what the Lexington city council has to do with causing or stopping what is going on in the Middle East, but apparently some pro-Palestinian protestors thought they have a big role. ;)
