• Sloppy Jan 6 Committee

    From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to RON L. on Wed Aug 16 07:31:00 2023
I saw an interesting news clip yesterday. The committee destroyed records of the depositions, interviews, and other documents because
they claim they were not under any obligation to have them archived.

That's a baldface lie. The **knew** that they had to archive everything.

Under the circumstances... other cases that have been in the news regarding missing documentation and the National Archives... I would have expected
them to act in a more responsible manner.

But, as you say... "rules for thee, not for me." :(

Maybe it is just me but if I was investigating something so shocking
and imporant as an insurrection, I would not destroy my documentation regardless of having no obligation to have them archived.

Nope. It's not just you. The Jan 6 committee was very, very sloppy.

I somehow didn't think it was just me.
