No, that didn't happen.
Sorry that was my misunderstanding. What he did was disolve parliment in
2021 and request a snap election two years early, which sounds like something
a dictator would do, in hopes that his Liberal party would gain the
uncontested majority of seats (which is 170).
The snap election took place as he requested. They did not get their
majority. They did set a new low for popular vote share for a party that would go on to form a government, at 32.6%, which was lower than what the Conservatives got.
So I did slightly misunderstand. He went from having a full majority of
seats before the previous 2019 election, to not having a majority (after
2019), to still not having a majority *and* setting the low for popular vote received by the "ruling party." So he did have "loser numbers" but was
able to stay in power.
Sounds like your liberal/leftist government does not have the mandate, and
may not represent the voice of all Canadians, that you seem to think they do.
Guess there are not enough Alan Iansons in Canada to get Trudeu's party that majority of seats they wanted.
