I am still here the voice on the Right side of correctness as well as the most commonsense. If the November election was as successful as you seem to indicate. I would expect more traffic from your side of the fence. I do not see any victory lap or celebration w/ left-sided chest beating as it were...

Will life improve within these districts where Democrats have won?
I guess we will all have to wait and see, or will be that these citizens
will do what they have always done. Sit back and wait for something good from the choices that they have made?
(You would think that they would learn from making the wrong choice.)
Will life go from bad to worse, w/ more crime then ever seen before, will the centers open for elicit public drug use in your neighboring state of PA and god knows what else? Will the criminals be released from behind bars and released into the community and will they find themselves within your community?
Will life in general continue to degrade and will it be the new norm?
After all they have seen this before. Have they not previously reached out with empty extended hands before? Nothing will change for the better, I predict they (voters who vote Democrat) will continue to be cheated as they were before and they will still get nothing from these leftest clowns. One thing is for
certain though, the clowns do get to stay at the circus for yet another term.

It's not all bad news for people on the right.
Trump announced he is running in 2024 and Nancy Pelosi is not seeking re-election.
    Could this be the reason?
David Depape tells investigators that he and Paul Pelosi were engaging in gay sex and an argument ensued over drugs. Pelosi's are refusing to turn over surveillance video of their home fueling more speculation of homosexuality at the home. Depape has arrests for male prostitution.
There ya go something to consider as I am surely confident that this
will raise the messages to more of a sensible number that you are accustom to or at the very least raise an eyebrow or two.

How is that remotely possible with bail reform, sanctuary cities, high crime, and the Democrat play-book says to ignore, look the other way or pretend non

Well here Here is the Neighborhood Scout ranking of the most crime-ridden cities and their mayors. It's a top 20 list.
Posting the top 5 and it's no surprise that Baltimore is among the top 5.

Annoyed that Senate Democrats are blocking a police reform bill, President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the 20 U.S. cities with the highest crime rates are all run by Democrats.

The Senate Republicans want very much to pass a bill on police reform, Trump said during a Rose Garden press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda. I would like to see it happen. We won't sacrifice. We won't do that. We
won't do anything that is going to hurt our police.

    The president added:

We have a record positive rating on crime, a record positive rating on crime this year. The best. You hear about certain places like Chicago and you hear about what's going on in Detroit and other cities, all Democrat-run. Every one of them is Democrat-run. The 20 worst, the 20 most dangerous are Democrat-run.

A quick fact check shows that Trump is at least mostly correct. One ranking says the top 20 most dangerous cities are run by 18 Democrat mayors and two mayors who were elected in nonpartisan races.

According to the website Neighborhood Scout, which in January published a
list of the 100 most dangerous cities in America, heavily Democrat Detroit
tops the list. At No. 20 is Chester, Pennsylvania, also with a Democrat mayor.

Trump went on to refer to the so-called autonomous zone in central Seattle, where extremists have taken over six city blocks.

We have one city, two cities in particular, worse than Honduras, worse than Afghanistan. These are cities within the United States, Democrat-run. Radical left-run. You see what's going on in Seattle. Seattle of all places, who would even think that's possible, he said, adding:

The Democrats want to weaken very substantially our law enforcement, our police. Frankly, they want to defund [police departments], at least largely. Some want to defund and abolish our police. If nothing happens with [police reform], it's one of those things. We had different philosophies. They want open borders. They want sanctuary cities. We don't.

Here is the Neighborhood Scout ranking of the most crime-ridden cities and their mayors.

    1. Detroit
Violent crime rate (per 1,000 residents): 20.0

Odds of being a victim: 1 in 50

    Mayor: Michael Edward Duggan, Democrat

    2. Memphis, Tennessee
Violent crime rate (per 1,000 residents): 19.5

Odds of being a victim: 1 in 51

    Mayor: Jim Strickland, Democrat

    3. Birmingham, Alabama
Violent crime rate (per 1,000 residents): 19.3

Odds of being a victim: 1 in 52

    Mayor: Randall Woodfin, Democrat

    4. Baltimore
Violent crime rate (per 1,000 residents): 18.5

Odds of being a victim: 1 in 54

    Mayor: Jack Young, Democrat

    5. Flint, Michigan
Violent crime rate (per 1,000 residents): 18.3

Odds of being a victim: 1 in 55

    Mayor: Sheldon Neely, Democrat

What the hell? In the mad scramble to re-re-rewrite the huge Build Back
Better social-spending bill and rush it to a vote, Speaker Nancy Pelosi inserted a huge tax cut for the rich.

That's right: The plan now is to raise the cap on state and local tax deductions for federal income taxes, otherwise known as SALT. The 2017 Trump reforms capped it at $10,000; Pelosi would raise that to $72,500 in 2021, then gradually to $80,000 over the next decade.

Per the Tax Foundation, this means a tax cut for more than 70 percent of US households making over $200,000, with those earning over $500,000 reaping the most benefits.

Why? Because Democrats from high-tax states, not least Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, knows that the Trump limit makes high earners feel the full
pain of living in high-tax states like New York and so encourages them to move out, taking their entire tax bill with them.

Better, reason Schumer and Calis Pelosi, to reduce federal revenue from these high earners than to force state legislators to ease up their rates.

Meanwhile, the bill hits the middle class hard: The left-leaning Tax Policy Center says 74 percent of middle-class households will pay more as corporate tax increases get passed to consumers and employees.

If this passes, AOC will need to burn her tax the rich dress.

A reporter asked a question about inflation at one of the many times that Biden's handlers were rushing them out of the room (so that they would not

    on.

It was also one of the many times he has made fun of the press (something
that was a no-no between 2016-2020) because he didn't want to answer their questions about an actual issue that is affecting all Americans. In this
case, IIRC, he called one of them an SOB into the hot mic.

they got a better P.R. group to help hide it.

How is that remotely possible with bail reform, sanctuary cities, high crime, and the Democrat play-book says to ignore, look the other way or pretend non of these issues matter.

Because for the Ignorant Elitists, Reality doesn't matter. The only
thing that matters to them is their precious Narrative. Any fact that counters the Narrative is discarded as "misinformation".

That's why it's useless to "discuss" anything with these people. They simply cannot handle Reality and will sit there and give you every

Do those statements imply that you are an "ignorant Elitist" for whom

When and were did Biden say that about inflation? Inflation now is a
global thing, and it is not as bad in the USA as in some other
    countries.

A reporter asked a question about inflation at one of the many times
that Biden's handlers were rushing them out of the room (so that they would not get answers). Biden said it into a hot mic that he did not
    know was still on.

It was also one of the many times he has made fun of the press
(something that was a no-no between 2016-2020) because he didn't want
to answer their questions about an actual issue that is affecting all Americans. In this case, IIRC, he called one of them an SOB into the
    hot mic.

So, one should form an opinion about Biden based on their interpretation
of what was said off the cuff into a hot mic instead of looking at what
is really happening? Employment is at an unprecedented low, inflation
is not as bad in USA as elsewhere, and two bills have passed with major positive impact on the economy.

    Hello Ron,

Oh Trump has done a AMAZING job. He set off more dumpster fires on
the Republican Party/GOP than any other president put togther.

That's because the GOP has been rotting from within. For the most part, we don't have a 2 party system. We have a 1 party system, it just
    has 2 different names.

George Wallace said pretty much the same thing.
Folks in Alabama thought he was right. And voted
him governor for four terms. He would have won
the presidency in 1972 had he not been shot by
a would-be assassin. Unfortunately, we all had
to put up with three more years of the worst
president we ever had (until Trump).

    Hello Mike,

Republicans can be middle income or low income, they can even be gay.

According to some Democrats here, this is not true, especially that last part. :)

    Quit lying, Mike.

Log Cabin Republicans are still recognized by Democrats as being
    Republicans. Even in Texas.

Wish I could say the same thing about Republicans recognizing
gay and lesbian Republicans as Republicans. But as shown in Texas,
    that is not the case.

Log Cabin Republicans were shut out at the Texas State Republican
Convention, not allowed to play or participate in any of their games.
That is a fact, as publicly posted in this very echo.

But do feel free to continue your homophobic tirade against gays
and lesbians in the forum. It reflects on your very nature.

French President Emmanuel Macron visited the French Quarter the
other day. Went by a drinking estbalishment on Peter Street, where
he was met by a bartender decked out in full costume. I am not sure
what he was drinking, but whatever it was must have been good. The
President didn't seem to mind the costumed character was a man in
drag, dancing to the beat of "When the Saints Go Marching In" ...

In past I would have said no but the precident has been set during a
previous administration, so.... His continued claims that there is no inflation, or that it is not a problem (see his most-recent 60 Minutes appearance) don't put that "off the cuff" remark in any better light.

Unemployment numbers do not count people who are no longer looking, or that have been unemployed too long.

"Inflation is not as bad here as..." doesn't really say a whole lot.

Do you have concrete evidence that those bills have done much of anything positive for the economy, besides make you feel good?

That sounds a lot like what they're saying on TV, but when I look out the window I don't see a positively impacted economy, and I can't compare
inflation here to inflation in other countries because I've never lived in another country, especially not for a long enough period of time to say "Inflation's worse here than it is in the USA."

Yea but that makes your argument as good as theirs; that's the media moulding us. We should look around our neighborhoods for a good dose of reality.

I started getting wired up about all the media reports of "crime out of
control since bail reform" but I think I fell for a scam; there's no obvious increase in crime. The only way to see the increase is by reading news
    and/or police reports.

But using that logic, you might only know about crime if it happened to
you, which would also not be a sure sign of a crime increase.

I do not have such evidence, but logic would say that if people are put
to work replacing old bridges or setting up wind farms then those are
positive things for the economy. Also, revamping the tax codes so that
the wealthy and corporations pay a better share is a positive thing.
