I've configured the screenaver, but I don't think it is doing anything.
Config/Display/Misc/Screensaver:
+------------------------------------+ .
. . Screen-saver (sec.) 30 . .
. . [x] Scroll out . . [ ] Lock screen-blanker
. . . . [ ] Password at startup
. . . . [x] Show User-name
. . . . Headline 1
. . Headline 2 . .
. +------------------------------------+
What am I supposed to expect to see with a "Scroll out" effect?
I've had OXP unattended for MINUTES, but I never see anything that would suggest that the screensaver is active.
I've managed to activate it by pressing <Alt+1> (press <ESC> to de-
activate it) but I never bother with screensavers these days anyway.
IMO, they were only useful with the old CRT monitors.

How did you find out about Alt+1 ?
Same results here, THANK YOU - but I get a blinking starry sky effect.
And, *any* other key press brings us out of the screen saver.
Screen savers like this are a kind of relic of the past, aren't they? I concur wrt crt monitors.
Furthermore, the starry sky seems to operate annoyingly too fast - as if it was intended to work on much slower computers of days gone by.
How did you find out about Alt+1 ?
By reading the context help ;))

Yeah.. BUT, it will only come up as an ending note in a specific menu - the trick is/was to know where to go first. And, unlike other control sequences that are highlighted in a different colour from the other text, the Alt+1 trick is *not* highlighted and therefore even easy to miss.
