    I *knew* this project was going to turn into more like a features comparison list! LOL Nothing wrong with that, except that maybe a
    table like the sample that I've *updated* here at the bottom might work:

    https://kolico.ca/fidonet/echos/points/

    Yes, that looks doable.

    [CONS]
    No support for USB printers.

    I've included this in the table (I've allowed "wireless printers" to be
    part of USB), and have applied a reference to the hack solution.

    [PROS]
    Automatic nodelist/pointlist updating.

    That, I have noticed. Very nice. Once configured, never have to bother
    with separate tasks like "compiling".

    Real-time language switching to/from English/German.

    Really? WHERE is that?

    Multi-Quote replying.

    What is so particular about that? Is there a specific setting/config for that?

    Twit filter.

    Albiet, limited to "fully listed" or manually added names: "fname lname@z:nnn/nnn.p"

    Show hex dumps of messages.

    WHERE is that?

    Supports collection of identical echos from multiple Boss Nodes.

    I bet you really like that, to compare feeds from multiple boss nodes?

    Fully integrated email/news clients(POP3, SMTP, NNTP, SSL/TLS, IPv4,
    IPv6)

    That is rather cool. Therefore, OXP could be a quite nice all-in-one kind
    of solution for someone. But personally, t-bird or similar Windows prog
    is the better tool for email and nntp, IMHO. ;)

    Practically ALL of your PROs and CONs observations are now included in the table:

    https://kolico.ca/fidonet/echos/points/

    Since the list was quite long, I grouped your submissions as per
    "function" and separated the new groupings a bit for better readability.

    Yup, very sweet.

    Real-time language switching to/from English/German.

    To change from English to German:
    Config -> Options -> Language

    To change from German to English:
    Config -> Optionen -> Sprache

    Multi-Quote replying.

    What is so particular about that?

    Quote multiple messages in a single reply.

    Is there a specific setting/config for that?

    Nope, just mark a bunch of messages with the <Spacebar> and then press <Shift+B>. However, I do not like the way OpenXP handles this, it's
    somewhat messy to say the least. Try it and you'll see what I mean but
    don't forget to unmark all the marked messages after you're done.

    Twit filter.

    Albiet, limited to "fully listed" or manually added names: "fname lname@z:nnn/nnn.p"

    yup.

    Show hex dumps of messages.

    WHERE is that?

    Cursor over any message in any message list and press <Ctrl+H>.

    Supports collection of identical echos from multiple Boss Nodes.

    I bet you really like that, to compare feeds from multiple boss nodes?

    Not only that, it paid dividends when my UK Boss Node's system was down
    for 3 weeks recently - it guaranteed continuity of mail :)

    OK .....

    In the bit about mbcico, can you change "protocol" to "mailer", thanks.

    Thank you very much indeed for putting that up, much appreciated.
    Where should we post our comments/additions/corrections :)

    Oh.. this echo is probably fine for that. Or.. a netmail with "PRO" or "CON" somewhere in the Subject would get my attention too.

    Can you please add the following:

    DONE.

    The footnote [*8] has been added with your fix.

    And I adjusted the date format on that table to dd/mm/yyyy

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    I recently paid closer attention to what my online banking
    system uses, invoices, and what the gov't prefers.

    Bank = dd/mm/yyyy.
    Statments = mm/dd/yyyy
    Gov't = yyyy/mm/dd

    If anything, we are conditioned to keep guessing what our
    reality is. :( No wonder I am confused.

    Strange. In the US, most people and places use mm/dd/yyyy. In the
    military, we used dd/mm/yyyy. I got used to it, which helped me later.
    I worked in the oil and gas industry for years, and had communicated internationally a lot. Dates could have been confusing there.

    Although I've lived in the UK all my life and was brought up to use the British date format(dd/mm/yyyy), I now much prefer to use the European
    date format(dd.mm.yyyy).
