• Winpoint BinkP error

    From Alan Beck@1:229/426.36 to All on Sat Jan 30 10:34:45 2021
    Hi,

    When I poll my bossnode using BinkP within Winpoint I get the following error

    "BinkP bad address".

    I have tried everything I can think of.

    I am using the password that has been assigned to me by my Bossnode. I checked with him recently on what my passwords are.

    Everything seems fine in D'Bridge.

    Alan

    That sounds like you have a typo in the binkd addrress you are calling out to so double check that. Make sure the port you are calling out to is also correct.

    Ttyl :-),

    Check and double-check your typing? Maybe you transposed two
    letters, or numbers, or something is missing?

    Check this out .....

    Extras -> Options -> Uplinks

    Click on "Properties" at the right-hand side of the "Fidostyle Uplinks" panel. Look at the "Allgemeines" tab and where it says "Adresse", make
    sure there's a domain name(such as "fidonet"(without quotes)) in the box
    at the right-hand side of the hard-coded "@" symbol.

    Regards,
    Martin
