Had tried it with all 3 sets of drivers. Sat here & started thinking
that In can't get it working in SNAP/Panorama that let's try it with
the standard driver. Putting the switch on the end of the line & the
mode setting in the Autoexec.bat does work for me. Have a feeling that
if you or someone else tried this...may not work...especially with the bare metal setup I have with 1 of these used retail Lenovo units.

    I'll be trying it soon.

The next time I get to my mess of a storage room, I am going to dig up an IBM/Lenovo (dual-badged) ThinkCentre desktop--the SFF one that's longer than
it is wide with the top that pops open--and get ArcaOS on it. The Dell I have is just too big for this tiny room and that ThinkCentre can sit on a shelf (albeit a well-reinforced one since it's rather heavy). I have been thinking about moving my BBS to it since it would save a lot of floor space.

I currently have my entire ham radio shack and the BBS in a little tiny 8x8' room in a shed here on the property. At one time, I had 10 computers, two printers, and several amateur radios stuffed in here. That all got moved out for the most part and now I just have my HP EliteDesk 705 SFF desktop running W10 for my personal and ham radio usage with the BBS on the floor.

What I really like about ArcaOS is that I can print to my HP OfficeJet 4630 printer without many problems.

We've tried everything else...so it can't hurt & if it does work...will be a better way to run the OS. The thing I don't exactly understand why this traditional BIOS doesn't work straight out of the box. On the other
hand...with the newer non-BIOS systems where it wouldn't work. Personally...I think ArcaOS will get this fixed eventually.

Not sure if your room is the same size of what my old Elmer used to have
which was in the same roughly area size. I suggested that if could move his desk out from the side wall less than a foot...he could put the system on the floor beside the desk. If this were today...I would've gotten him a Pi Zero (which would have been better than the Compaq he bought used years ago
running Windows 98SE). Even if that wouldn't work good...the Pi4 would still blow that Compaq out of the water.

That sounds almost like my old Elmer. Are you sure you don't live in Jerome, ID? ;D

Can you use shelves in there? At work...we sell metal/plastic shelves. That would solve the issue with the desktop weight.

That's a major benefit with only needing to set up the dpi to print.
