Something strange in A47 when creating menus if you choose Hot key functions to use ESCAPE or HOME etc. It doesn't work, BUT if it was done in A46 or before it does work.. So if I carried over a menu with an ESCAPE as the hotkey from A46 it works fine, but if I add a ESCAPE as a hotkey it will not work...

In addition to the above, I know Paul mentioned he is having some issues with display files, probably not related but when using |DF in Menu settings option Menu Header (ex. |DFmenuheader it will not show it. Not sure how else to explain this one...

Hope this helps to track down..

Just an add on, not sure if this is a bug or operator error..
ESCAPE as the hotkey to go to a menu does not work in lightbar/grid but
does in lightbar.. Not sure if this worked in A46 or below as I didn't use Grids.. Hope that also helps...

In this case Lightbar/Grid doesn't use the ESCAPE hotkey as Grid menus use command jumps based on certain keys and ESCAPE is one of them. These are defined in the "GRID MENU JUMPS" section when editing a menu command.

Within a grid menu if you wanted to have ESCAPE jump to a menu when escape is pressed on menu command #1, then you would edit menu command #1, set the Grid escape jump to itself (01) and then in the "Action List" section you would create a menu command that executes only when ESCAPE is placed:

    Command: GO
    Data: main
    Grid Event: Escape

This means whenever escape is pressed when menu command #1 is highlighted, it will jump to the main menu.

Grid menus are meant to give you a ton of control but they are a little more complex/confusing to use.

Thanks for the info. I have to do it that way.. :)
