It's possible perhaps but g00r00 would need to have an ipad to develop on as well as whatever development environment is needed to do that and the free time to do that.

I wonder if such a build would be used? That's another consideration.

I'm not discounting your idea, I like the idea. I'd like to see terminals folks could use for these device people are using today also.

This question makes no sense to me. Does the OP mean he wants to run a BBS from an iPad, or just that he wants a client? ‘Cause there are tons of telnet clients already in the App Store.

I’m not certain, but I think technically he wouldn’t. There are development environments for Win, Linux and Mac complete with emulators, but you’d probably still want an actually iPad/iPhone to test on before submitting it to the App Store.

yes, that's exactly what he's asking about...

An iPad as a server. That’s ... unusual. Is it even possible to open a telnet port on an iPad?

Porting Netrunner to iPAD might be a better use of resources.

The Pi makes sense — it’s an excellent low-power, low-cost server, ideally suited to running a BBS. Trying to use a tablet as a server doesn’t make sense to me.

doubtful but that's up to g00r00 if/when it happens...

This could just be myself but has anyone created or subscribed to more than
    50 message areas with mystic?

We've added the bulk of fidonet and now up to 150 message areas but mutil has stopped importing these areas into the correct message base and the message area editor doesn't even remotely allow us to list more than 50 message areas.

Is just a limitation we've ran into or a design choice?
