    Hello APP fans..

I just learned that Alan Parson's has a new release, but
apparently it's ONLY on vinyl, first! And the price seems to be
a bit out of reach for either CD or vinyl.

    The reviews sound good though:

Vinyl isn't as cheap as it used to be, especially since one of the last
plants that produce the lacquer went up in flames last year.

I did not hear about this fire. The article on the
RollingStone www site was pretty good. The "master" lacquer
plate would be a very important 1st step for the vinyl product,
    indeed.

And only 2 companies in the world producing those things.
Amazing. I suppose the one in Japan is pretty happy now.

Yup. I couldn't remember if there were 3 and now 2 or 2 and now 1. Of course, everything is going to be subject to import duties from Japan so it's going to add to the costs.

I was watching one of the audiophile YT channels, (The
Audiopheliac, I think) and it mentioned a place were you can get
    free high-quality downloads: https://www.marecordings.com/

Exploring the basic site... the prices of the LPs just blow me
away. I can't imagine paying those high prices and then
encounter a "pop" or "click" on the record!!!

The digital versions are quite nice and good enough, IMHO.

I made CDs out them. I like about half the tunes on each
sampler. They sound great with room speakers.
