Had a nice visit and lunch with Ed and his wife, once I eventually caught up with them. :)
Had some issues connecting there, too...?
Nice picture of them you
sent.... even if it did come upside down again.... :) At least Daryl's picture was right side up... :)
I got directions from them when I arrived in town and they said they would be on the porch and their house number was such-and-such.
I drove down their street seeing no on any porch nor a house number on the mailbox at the driveway.
The street is sort of a huge U shape.
I stopped at a house with a guy on the porch who said Ed lived in the house across a green area and pointed it out. (Ed had the numbers in the mailbox or something, planning on replacing the old faded ones). But his name was on the box, he forgot to remov

Reminded me of the time in Syracuse when no one answered the door
when I knocked and I could have sworn I saw a curtain move and heard my friend saying to someone "Be very quiet and maybe he'll go away". (No one was home, my friend was still at work).
And like the time I was going to call on someone who left town.
Another couple even left the country.
Another had a new cell number and I had only the old one. (Thank
goodness for e-mail).

That's because Daryl was standing on his head. :)
I don't know what it is with that iPhone. I can take picture A and
be fine, Picture B (phone in the same position) is upside down.
One Windows picture viewer they're right side up, another Windows
program shows it upside down. Never had that problem with an android. Must be a iPhone "feature".

You've got a lively (and suspicious) imagination there.... ;)
Must be a iPhone "feature".
Could be.... :) Indeed strange, though....

Had some issues connecting there, too...?I had to be on Main Street and I was on another one, one block over.
Once I got over to Main Street things were fine.

He forgot to remove his name when he took down the numbers. :)

When I got to Denver to see a friend there, he was at work, he acted
like I just stepped out of the room than several years since we last
saw each other.
Now I have known James for years and we both have a strange sense of humour.
After visiting a couple of hours I said I had best be on the road
and sort of stood there a minute, figuring I would be asked to stay
for dinner. He wished me well and returned to work.
Several days passed.
I was in East Texas or western Louisiana and called a friend to say
I would be in his town around a certain time.
Then noticed I had missed a call from James so called him back.
He said his wife Karin was highly upset I hadn't been invited to
stay for dinner, how rude, etc. and he wanted to apologize then added
"but as I told Karin if he comes to dinner he'll stay on for several days". LOL

When I was in Syracuse I was shown the Destiny Mall. (I'm not a
mall person but did enjoy it).
I found an Apple store and stopped in to find out why my text tone
stopped working.
The first guy swiped this way and that, pushed this and that button, swiped again, had my host (who was standing by us) text me with the
clerk saying it was working.
Nothing.
He swiped this way and that, pushed buttons and still nothing.
He called over another clerk who did the same thing.
Nothing.
He just handed the phone back to me saying I would have either data
or wifi on all the time, thanked me and walked away.
(I pay for data and wifi not always available).
So, I guess that's just another feature of that phone. :)
Oh, and it take a day before a text arrives and often get a
undeliverable message when I send one.
