A couple of years ago, I got LOST in a parking deck
I lost my car the other day after wandering around the Notre Dame University campus. I spent about 90 minutes doing that and another 90 trying to find the parking lot. :)

Now that would never have happened on your own campus... but then, you
know every inch of that place... ;) Once you did find the right parking
lot, though, I trust you were able to find the car just fine...

Seen a lot of flooding in Missouri.
The Mississippi is at flood stage and only a few feet to spill over
the levee and sandbagged areas in Hannibal.

I've been getting tales of the Mississippi flooding from a friend that
has a front-row view, in Davenport IA... Record flood levels and
duration have been broken this year....

And so many farms are either vast stretches of mud or under water in
large "lakes". Streams and rivers are over flood stage, wide and
rapid. Roads are closed and/or restricted here and there. Had to
take a detour into the depths of darkest Missouri.

At least you didn't get lost in all that....

Those crops are all but lost this late in the year...

Hopefully they'll be able to get in the later crops ok.... we need them
to produce the food we need....

I was beginning to wonder as we roamed though unexplored parts of the
state. First was north, then east, then west, back to north, west again...
Up this road, down that one...
I just kept a semi in sight and followed him, hoping he was going in
the same general direction I was. :)

That works sometimes. :) Good thing you weren't behind me on one of my first
trips to New York when I was driving truck. I was heading down Broadway and was
supposed to take a left onto 13th st but there was a car at the corner, that angle of 13th street was not 90 degrees and there was no way I was going to make it.

One of New York's finest came up on me and told me the only way I was going to
make it to 13th was to go down a block , that a left followed by two more lefts
and I'd end up on 13th. Of course that first left was a one way going the wrong
way and I'm sure I peed off a lot of drivers that morning. :)

And, I trust that he was....? ;) Were there reasonable detour signs
posted... or did you have to guess.... That's one time I really am glad
to have a real map in the car, preferably one that shows ALL the
    roads.... ;)

When my car was switched out in Del Rio, TX I was given one with CA
    plates rather than WV.
Yesterday looking for that phantom Enterprise place, I made a wrong
turn and wound up the wrong way on a one way.
At least with those plates I was probably chalked up as a crazy CA
driver rather than a WV hillbilly. :)
