Joe,
ÿ OLX 1.53 ÿ S.T.O.P. -- Spin Tires On Pavement.
You know that is one thing I have never done.
Same here.
I have never understood the reasoning (if any) to be first away from a
red light or stop sign, lay down rubber, "drift" or anything else. I JM>have never understood why one needs a car that goes from zero to 60 in so JM>many seconds (unless you're a bank robber).
Or like the cartoon where the couple are talking to their financial
advisor, wondering about their retirement. He says "It boils down to
who's holding the stick-up note, and who's driving the getaway car". :P
I've often been told I drive like a old lady. I tell people I was
taught to drive by a old lady (though I wasn't).
I'm extremely cautious when I drive...and it drives my brother nuts.
But, all these people pass me like I'm sitting still...even in bad
weather. I don't even know why they have speed limits...in town, or on
the interstates...no one seems to obey them. And, they just voted to
raise the speed limit outside of metropolitan areas on Arkansas
interstates to 75 mph.
When I have to go to the nursing home in Lonoke (about an hour east of
Little Rock) to visit my elderly Mom, I take the interstate for part of
the way, then US Highway 70. The speed limit may be lower, but there's
far less traffic.
I'm not a fast driver and I'm not a slow driver. I'm sort of a half
fast driver. :)
That's how I square dance. <G> At least half of one is better than
none. :)
Daryl
