That's my preferable way as well, most of the time... ;) I don't mind
having it on the ground as long as it isn't on the car or the roads... :)

Being semi-retired I don't have to go out in it everyday. :)

Making progress in your trip, I see....

In Norfolk the other day and a lot of changes from 50 years ago.
Places I knew are gone or redeveloped. Downtown is no longer seedy
dives, overpriced jewelry stores for "that certain girl back home" with low, monthly payments that went on endlessly. :)
Now its all trendy restaurants, sidewalk cafes, 20 somethings staring at
    the phones...
A rather dubious area in town then is now a big tourist attraction, with
    the USS Wisconsin docked there.
While a Navy town I never saw one person in uniform, other than guards
at various gates to the base.
Yesterday was Yorktown and Jamestown. Yorktown is open battle fields
and such but Jamestown one had to go through a visitors area to get to
anything which of course was still shut down.
Joe (in Williamsburg for a couple of days).
