• Browsers And Clutter

    Steven,

Text browsers certainly do exist today. I have been using one on and off on U>Linux Mint desktop computer for a while. While it is certainly nostalgic to U>a text based browser, there is also a beautiful simplicity in just getting th
information you seek and none of the other garbage that the "world wide web" U>has become.

Especially Facebook. I use a web browser add-on, Fluff Busting Purity (fbpurity.com) to weed out all the group suggestions, ads, and other
crap they have up there. They act like everyone is filthy rich, but when
you only get around $1000 a month on disability (and they keep finding
stuff wrong with you), that money doesn't go very far.

I also tend to enjoy word processing in the terminal. Again, simple and not U>distracting.

I use the OLX reader for processing BBS messages via QWK Mail. Much
easier than wading through all the message areas.

This message transmitted on 100% recycled electrons.

Get them squirrels moving again. <G>

    Daryl
