Howdy! Daryl,
Hi, Ed...
Don't forget to include one of Your Mom's favorite Scripture Verses when EV>You speak at the Service.
The verse that came up on my computer the day after she died was Psalm
116:15 -- "Precious In The Sight Of The Lord, Is The Death Of His
Saints". That's the verse in the program, which I approved today when I
went down there.
I wrote a eulogy, and am reading two of the poems there. One is "My
Hall Of Fame", a tribute to my parents (now both in Heaven), and "Let Me
Go On To Glory". I wrote that the night my grandmother died in
1993...reading it at my grandmother's funeral...then singing it at my
Dad's and wife's funeral. I will read it at my Mom's funeral to save
time. Then, to close, I'll sing the refrain from "Soar With Jesus",
based on Isaiah 40:31. You can find each of those, and the rest of the
Gospel Poetry (there are some secular poems on the hobbies of BBSing,
ham radio, and square dancing) at www.theweatherwonder.com/swj.htm
I had a scare on the way down to the funeral home earlier today, as
the "Low Oil Light" on the car came on. Well, The Angel Of The Lord was
with me, as I was able to get the car to the dealership. I told them of
the issue, and they checked it. I was 1 1/2 quarts low, but they topped
it off for free. Talk about "The Lord Will Provide". :)
I've been praying for You and Your Brother.
Thank you. He is in worse emotional shape than I am. It probably will
hit me either at the viewing or the service, or more likely next week.
We all need Prayer(s).
Amen.

I think I know the joker who you got that one from...you need to watch
him closely. <BG>
