    Title: Parmesan-Stuffed Dates
    Categories: Five, Cheese, Pork, Fruit
    Yield: 12 Servings

    12 Fresh Medjool dates
    2 oz Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese;
    - in 12 small pieces
    6 sl Bacon; halved crosswise

    Set oven @ 400ºF/205ºC.

    Using a sharp knife, cut a slit in each date and remove
    the pit. Stuff each date with a piece of cheese. Wrap
    each with a bacon half and secure with a wooden
    toothpick. Place stuffed dates in a single layer in a
    15x10x1-inch baking pan.

    Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve
    warm.

    TO MAKE AHEAD: Prepare dates as directed in Step 1. Place
    in an airtight container; cover. Store in the
    refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Bake as directed.

    Makes: 12 servings
