If so ..

Im looking to buy my first handgun; 9MM. Looking at Glocks, and tossed
between the smaller G45-48's versus the G17-19's ... Any advantages or disadvantages? Or recommendations that may be a better alternative for my first handgun? It's for protection, conceal and carry .. I'm more of a
rifle owner, so this is a bit new to me. But prior to going shopping, I'd
like a narrowed down list and local dealer that carries such models and
brands.

go to a shooting range that allows you to shoot weapons you do not own... maybe a rental type thing for say 50 rounds each or some such... give the one's you're interested in a try and see what you think of them...

This is my first hand gun. What are some tips to help narrow down the selection, such as comfort, weight, features, etc...? Brands to avoid and or maybe the top three that tend to be favored over others?
