    Hello nathanael,

..When I did create the base, it was immediately populated with
    posts.

Or, maybe the timing was coincidental, and traffic just happened to start flowing in Z3 at the same time.

At the time, you mentioned that you received about 35 posts. I only counted 25 here since inception. What is the date-stamp of the oldest message? I am wondering if I can find out when the last post was made to this pre-exisiting echo.

The range of dates was 3/06/19 to 3/13/19. Most of them were FIDOGAZETTE from Janis, the rest were a thread called "Here's hoping...".

I just rescanned the echo and am waiting for the results.

Those are just the fresh ones since I got involved. But some sysops keep data for a long time. Tommi (my Boss node 2:221/1) has at least two of the fidonet stats echo dating back to 2010. One echo had about 43,000 posts. I pulled all those in and checked those, but there is no mention of future4fido.

    I checked the creation date of the msgbase of this echo at 2:221/360;
Year 2012. I stopped purging messages long time ago, so I believe there
has not been any messages until your first post.

Thank you for doing that. I thought you would be fuming at my nntp poll and requesting so much in one session. I quit early on the elist echo though. The process was tad slow via my 3G mobile, 2.5Mbps max. :( But maybe the actual elist zip files might reveal some answers.

Every google-like search placed the ozzmosis archive at the top levels. Ozzmosis/future4fido only has a 3-yr run and has a few dozen posts spanning 2003-2006 only.

I wonder what re-triggered activity in 2012 for your msgbase.

Enough sleuthing to for me at the moment.

It's good to have some stress tests time to time. :)

It is also possible that I moved everything to a new hard disk then.
    Cant remember. ;)

Good to see Z3 here.. :)
We must have been disconnected until today. :)

In my case, I think it was self-inflicted. AREAFIX kept telling my I
was linked, but then I discovered I hadn't actually created an echo
base for it on my system; that was supposed to happen automatically,
but somehow it didn't. When I did create the base, it was immediately populated with posts.

Or, maybe the timing was coincidental, and traffic just happened to

Ahh, OK. I have been linked for ages and had the echobase. But I didn't see any messages, until the day the announcement that the echo was listed on the Z1
    echolist was made.
