    or try vDOS. Runs ok.

Ahh.. but that's not the same experience. vDOS is nagware and
requires registration to run uninterrupted by a pop-up every 3 hours.

I use vDOS for multiple applications and I have never gotten any pop-ups
nor request for registration. I will admit that the applications I use
it for do not run that long -- is that what you mean, 3 hours continous running?

It has this on the "Register?" page:

"vDos is freeware for most. It will however check if the PC is joined to a domain, or files on a network drive are accessed. Then the About popup is displayed every three hours of continuous use."

I do have a local network, but never am in a particular vDos
application for more than a few minutes. I guess that is why I have never
seen it. I use it to access my recipe data base (MealMaster) and a
couple of other small things. My BBS runs external to any vDos or 4NT application. I do my mail reading in an offline reader (BlueWave)
running in a XP Virtual window.
