    Hello Dan!

brand new message in response to the last one they saw on
    the screen.

Kinda splitting hairs there, aren't you? "In response to"
doesn't mean the same thing as "Replying"?

I thing you are the one splitting hairs and complaining about a
very FINE effort that provides outreach to smartphone users,
and particularly iOS users who have no other options. :D

My point here is that this Telegram translation/gate/
crossover is not very good, and isn't keeping with the
established purpose of FidoNet -which is exchanging *text*
    messages in a recognized manner.

Aftershock provides the same mechanism: an "app" and text that
adjusts in the window size that the user likes.

I think you are gaslighting when you say "keeping with the
established purpose of Fidonet". ;) That sounds like it
came out of the World Economic Forum, Bilderberg, Davos/ Schwab
    headquarters or something. ;)

I see. What's the point of crossposting/gating it to FidoNet
    then?

Maybe "Telegram" should stay within "Telegram".

Look at this mess of "quoting style" above.... It's not only ugly,
    it's inaccurate. See below.

I looked at John's original that you replied to. And his was
    from Aftershock, not Telegram. ;)

    A "fine" effort? It's a method/mechanism that doesn't seem to allow
quoting replies (or at least most of the users don't know how to do
it...), and allows gating of incomplete/partial messages that therefore
have no context so others can understand what's being said. Sorry, but
I'm having trouble seeing anything "fine" about that.

Oh, and perhaps FidoNet doesn't need to be read on smartphones. It is
indeed available to iOS users who have at least a semblance of a clue.

My point here is that this Telegram translation/gate/
crossover is not very good, and isn't keeping with the

Well, the example that I saw today, and that you quoted in another post, mangled up the formatting so bad it was near useless. Again... not
    "fine".

I think you are gaslighting when you say "keeping with the
established purpose of Fidonet". ;) That sounds like it

It came out of 30 years of "tradition" and the intended purpose/usage of FidoNet. You know exactly what I mean.

Newfangled crap isn't better just because it's new. Sometimes it's
    just.... crap.

... No matter how thin you slice it, it's still baloney.
