From Flavio Bessa@4:801/188 to All on Mon Mar 14 11:42:15 2022
    Hello,

Considering that nodehist.fidonet.org.ua is offline due to the recent events in Ukraine, and also filegate.net being offline, is there any other repository for checking for old nodelists?

We have some systems from Uruguay that are under process of rebuilding and possibly rejoining Fido, and needed to check nodelists back from the 90s...

... Back up my hard drive? I can't find the reverse switch!

That one still works for me (accessed from Canada).

Have you tried the other one:

I think it must have a different cause if you can reach 'm. Here it's OK.

You can also go to www.fidonet.org and use the link for Ulrich Schroeter's "Fidonet History Project" ... very interesting site as well.

Amazing, it was not working for me. After your message, I disconnected from cable and connected towards my cell phone (different network) and it worked!

I complained with the cable company, they apologized and restored me access to it. Weird.

Consider using 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 as your dns resolver...

It was just one (of many) free resolvers I know that would work without limitations. I didn't know it was that new, but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1.1.1.1 tells me it was announce in 2018...

OK. I've enjoyed the 8 and 4 quads for more than a decade, so I haven't paid any attention to any changes/additions. Thanks for the information, should I ever feel the need to replace any of my 8 and 4 quads. :)
