    Hi All!

I think I've noticed some consistency wrt to some messages not arriving here (
lenoBBS). It appears that messages with point origins are the ones that never
how up. Mark's messages bear a point address.

I am going to ask a dumb question, but are the messages not showing up at
your Veleno point, or are they not on the BBS, either?

I once had trouble getting messages from one point to show up on another
point. IMHO, it was an issue with the tosser being used on one of the two systems. I am wondering what Veleno is using as their tosser.

    Mike

    Strange.

Could anyone else capable of posting with a point address do so here,
and CC to the CHAT, COFFEE_KLATSCH
    and FUTURE4FIDO echos, please?

I dont have those echos here in this point .1

Hmmm.. your message from the point arrived. So, either the problem has cleared up behinds the scenes, or it is specific to certain echos.

No worries. Maybe another point will oblige.

I dunno. I just link up with OpenXP to it. Meanwhile, I've
    created a web-side account. I guess I have to wait a little
while for the sysop to approve it.

Based on some clues at the web-interface...

    https://velenobbs.net/?page=001-forum.ssjs&group=7

..it appears to be using Sychronet for starters.

It's a *very* long time since I logged into my VeleNo Point on the Web account but after logging in this morning and doing a "Get Mail"(or
whatever it's called), there's an absolute mountain of mail missing and
    it's not just from Points.

Could anyone else capable of posting with a point address do so here, and CC to the CHAT, COFFEE_KLATSCH and FUTURE4FIDO echos, please?
    ^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I'm not linked into either of those areas with any of my Point accounts so I've just CC'd this message into FUTURE4FIDO.

    Regards,
    Martin

My sky-is-falling concern seems to be a false alarm. There is
currently an adjustment of feeds going on. It is likely just a
coincidence that the messages that I expected to see were
primarily from users bearing a point address.

The mountain of missing mail is related to something else. As a
Veleno user it is left to us to force a R)ecieve mail. If we
don't do that, the available messages don't get tossed into our
accounts. And, if we don't do that for a long time, the older
    messages probably get purged.

..so I've just CC'd this message into FUTURE4FIDO.

Thx. It's there, on Veleno too.

    Done! :)

Message posted in this echo and CC'd to FUTURE4FIDO, both of which have arrived in my Veleno account.

I doubt that is the issue then. Just a shot in the dark. I had trouble sending mail between two points once, when my boss was running squish.
Could have also been operator error. :D
