    Well, that was from a NNTP client on my cell phone. Will check If the fault was
    due to the client or the server.

    Maybe. But CP437 work fine for me on bigger part of read/posts on Fidonet
    and other nets. Not a ideal solution but is enough in moment. Just be more careful.
