• Announce of new files

From Angel Ripoll@2:341/66 to Todos on Sun Apr 12 20:31:54 2020
    Hola Todos!

I want to make only one announcement of new files every X days. How can I do that?
How can I make sure that only the files that arrived on my system less than
X days ago will be output?

    Un saludo,
    Angel Ripoll

Delay the htick and incoming file processing by X days.

New files will arrive at your inbound and stay there until processed.
That will announce files that arrived during the X days.

    Regards

    Kai

htick will create new file announcements (if so configured) whenever you run "htick announce". So run that when you want the new files announced.

    Hola All!

It has already become clear to me how to announce new files every X days.

Now I am wondering if it is possible to configure the way to advertise them. That is, whether or not I can put a header before the ads and a footer at the end which I can configure

    Un saludo,

Yes, you need htick to announce to a file. Then you can edit that file as you please and post it. Use @filename for the AnnAreaTag.

You should be careful. Ads are overrated. They are dupe traffic without additional information. Golded can initiate a file request from an announcement and needs the AKA and the filename for that. All connection data is part of the mailer and the mailer would fetch the data from the nodelist.

Why should i use an e-mail when you have a ftn aka?

Dupe information that's already written in the Origin: line.

Zruspa's BBS II binkp, telnet, ftp, http(s) and FREQ at
    zruspas.ddns.net

My mailer would find that in the nodelist.

yes but it can be solved better:

    ----- doall.bash begins -----
    /usr/bin/htick clean
    /usr/bin/htick ffix
    /usr/bin/htick toss annfecho /home/ftp/pub/filelist/annfecho.txt filelist /home/ftp/pub/filelist/filelist.txt
    /usr/bin/htick announce
    ----- doall.bash ends -----

if you make htick announce in another script its solved

here i annoumce all at once

    Regards Benny
