• Create na file from file areas

From Louis Northmore@2:250/8 to All on Sun Feb 13 21:42:54 2022

    Hello everybody!

Does hpt or another husky util provide an option to export file areas to .na files?

I'm attempting to auto create areas in my BBS software from hpt/htick.

So you want to use BACKBONE.NA as the master file for when new areas arrive, right ?

The BACKBONE file/s are being recreated as the elist software is being repurposed to handle such along with its normal duties.

Hopefully it will be up and ruuning by next month but it is subject to:

    1. Finishing coding.
    2. Completes testing.

The result will be two files BACKBONE.NA and BACKBONE.RPT.

This should give a full listing of all areas that are available for all sysops as provided by all echo area originators. Famous last words :)

Nope, as not all feeds provide NA files currently.

All my echos do get added to my husky areas file though. I had hoped there might be something existing that could convert that to an NA file.

I'll give it a few more days then write something to do just that.

It's my own fault for making life complicated by using seperate mailers, tossers & board software!

Aren't the formats of echoarea and filearea very similar? If yes, then the fconf2na.pl from the fidoconf utils may be extended to cover fileareas.
