    Medium I guess you can call it, golden but not brown.

    I keep all my bread, sliced, in the freezer. My toaster have a setting for frozen bread. Works like a charm.

    That's probably the best way. Depending on taste. :)

    I keep all my bread, sliced, in the freezer. My toaster have a setting

    frozen bread. Works like a charm.

    Frozen bread is nothing like fresh bread. Even after it is
    unfrozen by a toaster (or by other means). The best way to make
    fresh bread (from my experience) is by using a slow cooker/crock
    pot. No need for kneading, as the temp of a slow cooker allows
    the bread to rise as it is cooking ...
