• Call to War

From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to ALL on Fri Jan 14 00:00:53 2022
    Hello Everybody,

Vladimir Putin is at it again, threatening to cut off ties
to the USA if he does not get what he wants. What a child he
    is.

What should be the response of the US, Europe, and the rest
of the world? It is all quite simple -

    si vis pacem, para bellum.

It is too bad Neville Chamberlain did not understand Latin.
But Winston Churchill did. And so did FDR and Stalin.

Regardless of what language spoken by the bad boy in question,
the message is always the same. As well as the proper response.

Yes, my friends. War is coming.

    Just wow.

What an utterly stupid idea from the defense industry.

Neocon war hawks in the USA would be *SO* proud to start
a damn war with a megalomaniac who is in control of a country
with the economony the size of the state of New Jersey, a
military that stays put in their own country (for the most
part), yet has thousands of nuclear weapons to literally
end the world, over a "country" that is mostly Russian
to begin with. A country the size of the state of California,
with an ill-equipped and not very well-trained military.

US President Joe Biden is making many threats, huffing
and puffing about doing this, doing that, putting on new
sanctions like the world has never seen. Except putting
    US troops on the ground.

NATO is huffing and puffing, saying nobody has a veto
on what it can and cannot do. Any country can become a
member as long as it qualifies.

    And therein lies the problem.

Russia has not submitted it's application for membership in NATO.
I am sure this was a mere oversight by Vladimir Putin, as he has
many other things on his mind as Master of the Universe. But since
NATO is geared for defense, membership in NATO would protect
Russia from Ukraine - no matter how many Ukrainian troops attack
    the Russian motherland.

Europe would not like US President Joe Biden very much if he places
sanctions on Russia, as those sanctions would also hurt every country
    in Europe.

Best for all parties to press the "reset" button and start over.

With no sanctions on any country.
