It's crowd sourced Ward, you or anyone can edit it, the trick is convincing sometimes rather zealous Wikipedia editors that your edits should be
    retained.

who controls the Wikipedia-page describing Fidonet?

AFAIK anyone can try to edit any page on Wikipedia. You can make Fidonet-page up to date yourself. I guess nobody would reject editions made by Z2C.

    Best regards.
    Sergey.

Do the Wikipedia boffins recognise that role?

I've done some adaptions at some point many many years ago only to see everything turned back by some troll. There also was a guy who produced some totally disgusting page about me and really had a bad time having that removed.

That's unfortunate. My son is one of the administrators. He likely could have helped remove that.

Actually I have no idea. But I guess he could give some note and/or link to some page where those boffins could read about him, who he is and what does he do.

I haven't had so much experience in editing Wikipedia articles, so I'm not sure about this. :) I just suppose.

What is his take on Julian Assange having been arrested
by British police after Ecuador revoked his political asylum
    status?

With both Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning no longer
being able to contribute to WikiLeaks, the end may be sooner
than later. Probably much sooner ...

No worries. British police have solved the problem, taking
the troll off to jail. I doubt Theresa May will grant him asylum.

With both Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning removed, how
    much longer can WikiLeaks survive?
