    Hello Everybody,

I'm a guy. So is half the population
of the people on this planet.

Jesus is a guy. Or was while he was on
    the face of this planet.

Since today is Sunday, I took a bit
of time to read the gospel. That is the
part of the bible that tells the story
about Jesus and what he said and did
    while he was here.

I found a part that is really insightful.
The book of Matthew, Chapter 19, Verse 12.

In the previous verse, he tells his disciples
what kind of people he wants to follow him.
And then, in verse 12, he continues, being
    much more specific -

What he describes is three kinds of eunuchs.

    * those who are born deformed

    * those who have been mutilated by men

    * those "because they have renounced
marriage for the sake of the kingdom
    of heaven

That last part of his message is the
    kicker -

"Whoever can accept this ought to accept it."

This is an invitation to all who can to
    emasculate themselves.

Go ahead. Pick up a copy of the gospel
    and read it yourself.

Jesus wants all his followers to emasculate
    themselves.

I am presuming he means male followers.
Not sure how women go about doing such a thing.

Anyway, is this not a pernicious teaching?

Bj”rn, would you cut off your balls for the greater glory of God?
David, would you cut off your balls for the greater glory of God?
Ward, would you cut off your balls for the greater glory of God?

Just think of all the high notes you could sing in the choir ...

As I am not as follower of this "god" you speak of, no I wouldn't.

I don't participate in choirs either.
