Filmed on location, in the swamps of Louisiana, in 1917.
Just outside of Morgan City, about seventy miles from New
Orleans.

I have been there. Many times. Used to go fishing there
until somebody stole my boat. The movie is a silent film
classic, and can be viewed at the museum.

How the producers managed to bring all those live animals
into the swamps in Louisiana is beyond me. But with Tarzan
there to keep the film crew safe, everything worked out
fine. Or so I have been told ...
