Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for the
Nobel Peace Prize for a second year in a row.

According to The Associated Press, two lawmakers from Sweden, Jens
Holm and Hakan Svenneling, announced they had nominated the teen on
    Monday, citing her climate activism.

The two lawmakers said the 17-year-old “has worked hard to make
politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis,” adding that “action
for reducing our emissions and complying with the Paris Agreement is
therefore also an act of making peace,” the news agency reports.

According to the AP, the deadline to submit nominations for the
    prestigious honor was Sunday.

I would agree though that the nobel prize for Obama was a questionable decision and too early in his presidency. In contrast to the George Bushs he is a super peaceful guy, but he still killed people.

So... why then, did he win a Nobel Peace Prize?

Are you SURE it wasn't just because he was the first black U.S.
    President?

This is the justification of the Norwegian Nobel Committee...

"The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obamas vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obamas initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.

Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the worlds attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the worlds population.

For 108 years, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has sought to stimulate precisely that international policy and those attitudes for which Obama is now the worlds leading spokesman. The Committee endorses Obamas appeal that Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges."

Noteworthy is that the deadline of nominations for the 2009 Peace Prize was just 11 (eleven) days into Obama's presidency... Without getting into partisan politics, a lot of people agree (and I with them) it should not have happened. Therefor the awarding of the 2009 Peace Prize was not a consequence of achievement but on the contrary it was a sign.

I underwrite the statement that Obama got the Peace Prize for nothing, while Trump (who also is nominated again) will never get it for anything.

Speaker Pelosi's actions spoke louder than any words could say.
What she did immediately after your beloved finished his SOTU
remarks spoke volumes about not only what she believes, but what
the vast majority of Americans believe.

And to think it was all caught on camera, live on television.

over and over and over again. Grab one end of the text with

During his speech, he was nice. Never mentioned one word about

    Hello Terry,

She was taunting him from the get-go! Notice she was wearing
the same broach as when she signed the articles of impeachment.
And wearing a white dress, as if she was sweet and innocent.

Latest story is she was already pre ripping the speech so it was yet another
    stunt from a failed politican.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

He did not shake her hand upon greeting her.

Hence it was all his fault.

After dissing Speaker Pelosi by refusing to shake her hand,
he began his rant, or rally, or whatever you want to call it.

This was more of a campaign rally than a state of the union
speech, as very little of his speech had anything to do with
the state of the union. But that was fine with most of his
audience, who kept chanting "Four more years! Four more years!"
after every dishonest statement he uttered.

Once he finished, Speaker Pelosi put on her own little show
for all the world to see. Without ever saying a word.

The next morning, President Trump had a few things to say at
a National Prayer breakfast event, reminding folks who these
    people are.

"These people are vicious. Adam Schiff is a vicious, horrible
person. Nancy Pelosi is a horrible person. And she wanted to
    impeach a long time ago." ~Donald J. Trump, 2/6/2020

Do keep in mind she ripped the text not just of one, but two
texts of Donald Trump's finest speeches. On national television.
Had to make folks saw what she had done, even if they had missed
    it the first time.

Two speeches! Not just one! Talk about a nasty woman!
Worse than Hillary, I tell you! Worse! Hillary would never
    had been that nasty!

Anyway, back to Trump and the Forever Trumpers -

President Trump was speaking to an audience of true believers,
as it was the National Day of Prayer. As such, he had to keep
things on topic. And yes, he was well aware she was amongst
    them -

"When she said `I pray for the president,' she doesn't pray.
She may pray, but she prays for the opposite."

And the crowd cheered it's approval, relishing every word.

Nancy Pelosi was at the event, and said the president knows
    "little" about prayer and faith.

She should know. Her beloved 49ers blew it again. Another
melt-down in the Super Bowl ...

    Nope.

The below is a quote of your most recent message. It still shows
your node number twice. The reason for that is that you are
including it with the default Origin line, and then the system
tacks it onto the end, also. Edit your Origin line so that it
    ends with "tfb-bbs.org".

Yeah - it is there twice, just not wrapped as in the original observation (until quoted).

Your messages DO have it twice (on the same line).
