It turned out to be terminal metastatic cancer in final stages. total
    organ
failure of liver and kidneys, bone cancer not producing blood cells
    correctly,
lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, spleen cancer.

That's almost exactly what happened to my beloved Caesar. He too was
only 13 years. I still miss him, seven years later. :(

If it's one thing that I learned from this tragedy is that you should never feed a carnivore like a dog or a cat carbs.

They don't handle the factory produced food with up to 50% carbs well. Better talk to your supermarket manager and try to convince him to sell (or even give) you the meat that has passed the "best before" date. Dogs and cats don't mind if the meat is getting old, in fact they love it.

Where is Julian Assange's cat? His 10-week-old kitten
seems nowhere to be found. Was it cat-napped? Did he give
it away to a shelter? Did the Ecuadorean guards at the
embassy eat it? The world wants to know ...

He was, thanks to the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd genes he also had.

I have a yellow lab and a black lab, both are eighteen. I'll probably
have to put both of them down sometime this year because of their poor physical condition, the male often needs help to stand up. I'm not
    looking forward to it
