• Barbecued is Best

From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to All on Wed Sep 4 02:53:29 2019
    Hello Everybody,

In defense of our friend Ward Dossche, Facebook really should
be more forgiving to those who are not vegetarians. Especially
those who love fresh game, such as raccoon.

Unfortunately, few people know how to properly prepare and cook
raccoon. Which is a shame, as they miss out on one of nature's
finest treasures. However, I have found the secret as to how to
do this, so that Facebook will have no excuse but to lift its
banishment of Ward Dossche from its little corner of cyberspace.

According to those in the know, barbecued is best -

    https://bertc.com/subfive/recipes/barberacc.htm

    Barbecued Raccoon

    1 Raccoon
    1 bn Celery
    3 cl Garlic; chopped
    2 lg Red onions; quartered
    1 lg Apple; quartered
    3 Hot red peppers
    1 c Vinegar
    3 tb Salt

BE SURE LYMPH GLANDS OF RACCOON ARE REMOVED!!! Have someone who is
experienced remove the glands as well as the skin. Pull celery apart
and wash. Place all ingredients in pot with enough water to cover
raccoon. Bring to slow boil and cook until tender or until fork goes
in easily, about 1-2 hours depending upon size of raccoon. Remove meat
from pot, cut off front and back legs; cut remainder into four pieces.
Place on rack, brush with your favorite barbecue sauce. Place in 400
deg. oven; turn and baste frequently with barbecue sauce until a golden
brown, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serves 6.

It depends. Is there oil in the ground under the raccoons?

"Raccoon" is a weird word to type.

Please! Drop the flyswatter! Insects are conscious!

You do realize insects feel pain. And when that pain is inflicted
by giants that pain can really hurt. Rather than be a sadist it
would be far better for you to act as rescuer. All it takes is a
cup and a piece of paper. Once outside, the spider will be sure
    to thank you.

Now. If only I can rescue those poor crabs who are boiled alive
at crab boils. And crawfish who are boiled alive at crawfish boils.
And lobsters who are boiled alive at lobster boils. Nah. I'll let
the Yankees (or the Red Sox) save the lobsters ...

As much as I'm surprised to say this, I Agree With Lee.

I live with a family of arachnophobes, and I always say the spider you kill today could have been the one that ate the mosquito that gives you west nile virus tomorrow.

I wonder why I don't get invited to parties much?

I always say: when you have spiders that means there's a foodsource for them. It probably means they're killing and eating something else.

I saw capybara in South America - you would need a stout stick to cook one of those.

    Hello David,

Yummmmm.... Have you ever tried Chipmunk on a stick? Delicious!

Chipmunks are for Girl Scouts. Cajuns have nutria.

Is a nutria the same thing as a capybara?

Similar, as both are rodents. However, capybara are larger,
friendlier, and make good pets. Nutria are not quite as big,
although adult nutria can reach between 20 and 50 pounds, are
semiaquatic, usually friendly, but very destructive. Unless
you own a farm and a lake, it is not recommended to keep a
nutria as a pet. Although their orange teeth are kind of cute,
being the same color as the hair of a certain US politician.

I saw capybara in South America - you would need a stout stick to cook
    one
    of those.

    Nutria is good eating.

This makes tailgating at football games fun. Cook up some nutria
and serve to unsuspecting fans of the visiting team. Then after they
have had a bite to eat, tell them what they ate.
