• Freedom O Freedom

From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to All on Fri Jul 26 03:13:05 2019
    Hello Everybody,

Freedom. Such a lovely word, isn't it?

Fabio Bizzi thought he had something to say.

Lee is posting in an echo, and from a BBS, legally covered by
Swedish law. In Sweden we still allow a lot of leniency regarding
    freedom of speech.

But hi is off topic. Maybe not every time but surely often. One time
I wrote about the topic of the conference askig if it's still valid
and someone answered yes it is, so why Lee is still off topic?

I don't want to start a flame but the quality of the fidonet's echo
was also in these things, otherwise is only another newsgroup but
more difficult to access in, so why loose time to read it? ;)

Albeit, under the pressure of the most oppressive country in
the world, we are slowly losing that freedom, so it might be worth
it to hold your breath on this one...

You freedom stops when my begins. ;)

Does it? According to Reporters Without Borders, Sweden is a much
freer society than either Italy or the USA. Just look at their latest
rankings (April 2019), which show Sweden ranked 3 with a global score
of 8.31 (just behind Norway and Finland), compared with Italy ranked
43 with a global score of 24.98 which is about equal with Taiwan, and
the USA ranked 48 with a global score of 25.69 which is about equal
    with Senegal.

Should some participants have more freedom(s) than other participants?
Why, or why not? Either one is able to debate the issues, without
resorting to insults, or one is not able to debate the issues at all.

Censorship is never a solution for solving one's own inabilities.

Perhaps that is why countries in Scandinavia do not mind letting
    everybody play.
