Needless to say it's not the oil we get from dead dinosaurs, but that from a certain plant that finally slowly is being liberated from legal harassment all over the world.

You've been watching too many Hollywood flicks. Oil is -not- from forkin' dead dinosaurs. :)

    Cheers,
    Paul.

    forkin' dead dinosaurs. :)

    Whatever... :)

You really did see what you thought you saw.
That fellow really did step over the rail and went over
Niagara Falls (on the Canadian side) without a barrel,
and lived to tell the tale.

So please. Do be careful what you dab in.
Those waters can be dangerous. Especially if you fall over.

Whatever happened to 420? Or was it 110? That blowtorch
I am using makes things kinda hazy to remember ...

I thought it was my old phone number 5318008

The plant is not dangerous at all. But one does have to be
careful about the butane. Or propane. Or whatever else one
    is using.

... to extract the oil. You are correct, better smoke the plant as is.

In the meantime the rest of the world applaud the many US states, that give federal law the finger and legalize the plant and it's use.

Maybe the entire world could eventually end the War on Drugs? It's a war that cannot be won, if for nothing else because it has no end defined.

The Law of War sometimes are defined as resting on five fundamental principals on which all decisions should be taking into account:

    1) Military necessity.
    2) Unnecessary suffering.
    3) Proportionality.
    4) Distinction.
    5) Honour.

None of the above applies to the War on Drugs, and -- for that matter - neither to the War on Terrorism...

I don't know, I'm wary of inhaling anything that involves combustion these days, because of the potential of dangerous particulates and other combustion products, in addition to the good stuff.

In the meantime the rest of the world applaud the many US states,

It's very slow progress here in Australia.

Maybe the entire world could eventually end the War on Drugs? It's a war that cannot be won, if for nothing else because it has no end
    defined.

I agree, the war has cost more than it's saved. Misuse of drugs is a health issue, not a criminal one, and should be treated as such, and I deliberately used the term "misuse", because not all drug use, (whether medical or "recreational") is harmful. And it's not just the drugs defined as "illicit" that are harmful. Many people have been killed or seriously harmed by misuse of over the counter and prescription drugs - opiate painkillers being one notorious category.

All the "war on drugs" has done has opened up opportunities for criminals to enter what has become a lucrative market. The war reduces supply more than demand, and economics 101 says that when supply goes down, relative to demand, then the price goes up, meaning big profits for anyone game enough to buck the system. Oh, and without regulatory oversight, no need to worry about licence fees or quality control either. Bonus! (for the drug lords).

Better to have a regulated supply at a fair price, and also look into the issues of drug misuse, what are the triggers, etc? How can problem drug users be helped? I suspect society has a lot to do with these issues.
