    On the Telegram group it looks fine, but on the Fido area the reply is posted as a message to "All" without the image URL and no quoted text.

    The @REPLY kludge is ok, however... so, if your editor supports thread linking you can find out which is the replied-to message.

    Right.. And I think Stas explained that is because when an "image" is posted, the text or image part is treated as a caption. Captions don't retain message qualities or something.

    I concur! I'm sure Stas has pondered the possibilities. Meanwhile, he also reported that there were changes in the API that caused some hair-pulling moments. Introducing and maintaining the MSGID and REPLYID is a very nice result to help keep the threads connected.
