Meanwhile, it looks like you were more generous with the subj-line char limit than you said. A test with 45chars came through quite nicely.

Oh wait.. the 40char limit is probably when you need to scrape the message to CREATE a subject. Right?

Here's another suggestion: Taglines

Perhaps you can implement a tagline command, something like:
- -TL:R - -
- -TL:nn - -

..where, R would tell the bot to pick a [R]andom one from a pre-established user file based on TGUID of the user.

..and, nn would be used for a number 1 - 99 from a file.

We could send you a file with our preferred tags, TGUID.tag, and match it per user.

You missed my message that now not forty characters, but the first 1-69 before a space or a punctuation mark. And this is not a limitation, but a template in case the subj is not explicitly specified. The limit for the SUBJ line in Fido is 71 characters and this is the standard.
