• Smaller sized chunks of the Gazette

From Sean Dennis@1:18/200 to All on Fri Jan 21 17:46:11 2022
    Hello All,

I have been requested to publish the 'Gazette in smaller chunks to allow DOS-based systems to display it properly so I will be manually editing the FG to 100-line chunks to post in here. I'll see if I can set up a separate config file for Squish (my current mail tosser) to spit out 4K chunked messages to make it easier.

My apologies for not considering this earlier. After decades of using OS/2, I get used to having 32K chunked messages!

Thank you for bringing this to my immediate attention.

I'm not certain I understand this, but I think I do. Most BBSes are still living within 80x25 boundaries, mine included. Please limit each line to 80 chars!

    Also, thanks for your effort!

LOL... he said 100-lines, not 100-chars.

    Keep trying...

The software I use to publish the Gazette is DOS-based software from 1989. The maximum line length is 70 characters each. I am talking about posting the entire FG in a single message; some older DOS software cannot handle huge messages so I need to split them into smaller chunks. I'm going to look intop that this weekend.

So when I mean is splitting the FG into smaller chunks to post.
