From The Leprechaun@1:124/5014.2 to All on Wed Mar 3 12:50:41 2021
Hopefully this will be my last post on the FD Echo. When trying to send mail, it is failing. Here are the logs.

    Calling NC Net 114 Arizona, 1:114/0, cscnet1.net:23
    CONNECT 57600/ARQ
    No response from remote system
    sType: FTS-1
    Switched to Telink
    Unable to send E:\FD226\PACKETS\0001890B.PKT
    Unable to complete mail transfer
    To 1:114/0, 0:20, 0

The outcome is the same no matter which node I try to send to. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

... Do I even WANT ancestors? Some of those I found I wish I could lose.

yeah, i don't know... each of those states could likely be collapsed into one net for each... that's basically what we've done here in R18 with one net as a catchall for use when needed...

I was hub-shamed for half that number!

I started rolling legacy networks into an IP-only network, unless they a)
had someone who wanted to act as a hub for their network to learn the ways
of the Fido, or b) had a dial-up node.

    ... Would anyone want it?

    yeah, i don't know...

And I count about 9 "vanity" nodes, that serve no real technical function...

That's what we've done in R28, but that was many years ago, and done by the previous RC.
