Hector, I have two ZIP files in the /public/wcnav directory are these supposed to be there or unzipped ?
One is about 46 K and full of class files, the other 67K and contains
files and
sub directories files for wcnav
For the new distribution, all that is needed to be installed is:
http\public\wcnav\javachat.jar
http\public\wcnav\javachat.cab
Unzipping it so that you have a COM sub-folder is OPTIONALLY. I think that
was for the VERY VERY VERY old Microsoft IE browser which is what the CAB
is for, for IE 6.0 pre sp1 or BELOW only. The JAR is for FF and other SUN
JAVA run time entires.
IE 6.0 sp1, the one with all the extra security stuff, MS removed Virtual
Java Engine because they got sued by SUN. But installing the Sun Java
engine supports both. So the CAB is just there for older IE browser and it will stay around for awhile.
But at some point, only the JAR will be needed.
