• The record shop. Feasibility study

From Denis Mosko@2:5064/54.1315 to All on Sat Apr 18 23:09:58 2020
    stock contorol ;)

    Improvements required.

    (a) An automatic system is required that will give a report on possible storages from a prediction of likely sales compared with numbers in stock.

    (b) The computer should automatically keep count of the numbers of each record in stock by recording which records are being sold. The easiest way to do this is to use a bar code reader.

Why is the easiest way of recording by a bar code reader?

    Describe some alternatives.

I don't trust stock control with a wink.

    (a) An automatic system is required that will give a report on
possible storages from a prediction of likely sales compared with
    numbers in stock.

I don't like `give' without a direct object. What, in this sentence,
is a `storage'? Is your a mathematical shop that stores `numbers'?
If not, then I suggest simply stock or, at least, "the quantities
    in stock".

Correction: I don't like give in this context without a second
direct object, e.g.: "that will give the owner a report on..."

Otherwise, I should consider "yield", "provide", or "generate".

    replace

    that will give a report

    with

    that will provide a report

    replace

    possible storages

    with

    possible storage locations

Typically, cash registers, electronic banking terminals, a master server
(which may be cloud based and operated by an outside company), plus
appropriate software for tracking inventory, orders, food servers'
activity (for tips and job assessment)....
