Good job on this new release.
I've installed it last night and it runs well.

I've noticed a few strange things on my system since the upgrade.

I receive new files on a daily basis, but now, when I do a search for new files

in last X days, I don't get anything beyond 5 days.

Also, the ˙new files in last X days˙ doesn˙t display the results the same way as a plain file search or when listing files in a file area. It doesn˙t have the
same look and the left and right margins don˙t fit with the little gray navigation bar at the top and at the bottom.

This is just a suggestion. I was wondering if it would be possible to add in the
globals.inc an option to completely remove new page header bar. I already
have my own menu bar with a date/time and displaying both makes the whole thing redundant.

Finally, I hope I˙m posting in the right place.

    Thx

    John E C

This was fixed in the just released gamma. So please run a new
AUTOUPDATE /GAMMA to obtain the fix.

What browser? Is it a size this? is is a font thing? Are the new
    icons the issue?

This should be already in there as a new User Personal Properties
option. See the SKINS personal page.

    You did. :-)

I've attached an example of what I'm talking about.

I tried with IE7 and Firefox and same results. It does the same thing on your support site.

This should be already in there as a new User Personal Properties

    I'm going to check...

    Hi Hector,

I see you˙ve fixed the column alignment when displaying the file search results. That was fast. I wish more software companies were that fast :-)

I˙ve checked the new skin options. If I understand, if I use no-frame mode, I get the new TopMenuBar no matter what. If I use frame mode, I can decide if
I want the TopMenuBar in the file/mail screens.

This is more for the wish list, but do you think the enable/disable TopMenuBar option could extend to the whois-online and personal screens as well? Also, would it be possible to add an entry in the globalopts.inc file where one could

set the TopMenuBar to, lets say, 0=never, 1=always and 3=optional (user
    choice via skin options)?

    Thx

    John E C

That would be correct, the key different from before and now is that FRAME
Mode now offers the page header as well. The option to turn that off
brings it back to the same interface as before, where it was always enabled
for the other pages. Frame mode pages never had it.

To remove this would of been really drastic.

What you can do is put a copy of PAGE_HEADER.INC in your custom folder and
put one line at the top:

    @EXIT@

and now your page header is no longer part of the any interface. But that
can change a few things, like many templates dependent on globalopts.inc, etc.

Play with it. That is why we did the custom folder for.

    John,

Would it possible for you to create custom versions of your idea?

I would not prefer to alter the design at this late stage of the game
before final release. We are in a stable mode right now, with very little backend remaining items to be done.

The whole point of this upgrade was to move in this direction of giving
admins and 3rd party people more flexibility in web templates
customization. The hope is to be able to begin to offer a repository of
"skins" once we see the general pattern of it all.

So if you are up to it, customize the templates that make it work best for
you, adding options for users, which is very easy to do now, and then zip
up your custom folder, upload to the BBS or attach it here and let us see
    how it works.

Ok? I can understand if you are not a programmer, so if that is the case,
no problem. Just let us know and we will put this on the "things to do/look
    at" for the next update.
