The new Gamma looks very nice.
If there are a lot of files, and when I'm going to search for new files since the
last 7 days it takes very long (several minutes). Searching by word is fast like
    before.

So you are saying there is something different with this version that makes
the NEW FILES search take longer? By minutes?

Hmmmmmm, I have to see if there anything changed here that will make that happen. I don't remember changing the "NEW FILES" option by I will check it myself.

    Thanks

You know what? It does seem slower. Took 7 seconds at WINSERVER to
find 4 new uploads. Not 2-3 minutes, but 7 seconds. That is still
    alittle it seems.

I'll check that out because I don't recall anything we changed in the
new files scanner. Looking....... yes, right, the html-new files.wcx
was updated to add a template variables. That shouldn't slow it down. I removed it anyway just to see and it didn't change the extra slowest
that it seems to show on my system.

Well anyway, I'll check that out. Thanks for pointing it out.

Btw, how many file areas do you have?

    Dear Hector

The file count is about 500000, I think that˙s way it takes several minutes. If

there are around 10000 files it takes a few seconds.
I think it's depending on the file count. In the old release (not gamma) the new file search needs only a few seconds for a file count of 500000.

    Thank you

    David

Hmmmmm, well, it really had nothing to do with the file count, but file
areas. That is where the slow down was at as it was going from area to
area. How many file areas do you have?

I can't explain why it appeared to slowed down. I do have a clue which I
have to investigate but I have to compare this with an earlier version
    first.

But it is now also a mute point as I have changed to a method to resolve
this This was release last night. It was taken 7-8 seconds to scan all
my areas. Now with the new version, it is now scanning in 16 milliseconds.

But I still need to find out why the original appears to have slowed down.

    Hi Hector

At the moment I have around 150 different file areas and around 15 area groups.
Something else I'd like to ask is, will be it possible on a further release to sort
(move) the file areas, I mean the position of they˙re order.

    WinServer
    1 File Area 2
    2 File Area 4
    3 File Area 1

    New:

    WinServer
    1 File Area 1
    2 File Area 2
    3 File Area 4

This can't be done without a MAJOR change. Its been asked before and it requires a major restructuring of the framework. We are not ready to do that.
Sounds like a simple concept, but trust me, if it was simple it would of
been done a long time ago.
