    Lewis,

Found the problem - The recorded MOD did not have a netmail address that did not match with your
    supplied FROM details which did.

I manually amended the record to include it and rerun the submission am sending you via netmail
    the updated submission FILE.

The original moderator left FidoNet about 3 or so years ago.

I really need to completely revisit how these updates are submitted. It used to be quite easy... Let's see what happens with CFORSALE, POINTS and LIVE_AUDIO - all submitted together.

    Best regards,
    Marc

Yes, he's been gone from FidoNet for some years now.

I received it. Now, what I need is written instructions on this new system. Previously (quite a few years back) I had an elist program that was specifically designed for the purpose and would send updates and rules to 1:1/21. Somehow it got "broken" and I switched over to Harvey's Robot to send the NetMails to the list keeper. It worked fine until changes at the remote end.

Please tell me where to find the documentation on the use of the new system, and thanks in advance!

    Best regards,
    Marc

Every message I send has the subject line of MOD UPD. How is it that the program isn't picking that up? From now on I will put SUBJ as the first line of the .ECO file and see if that helps. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    It's not MOD UPD. It's MOD-UPD

    It's not MOD UPD. It's MOD-UPD

but it used to be "MOD UPD" and now, with vince's system, everyone has to change their templates and methods of updating... some use(d) the original echolist tool to handle their updates... some, like myself, simply created a template that all their updates use and then post those to netmail via a text-to-message tool...

if another system comes online that uses the original format, then moderators and those providing echolist updat services have a few decisions to make on how and where they will do their updates...

personally speaking, i kinda like vince's system even with the hiccups it currently sees... he's doing a great job to catch the problems and handle them... now if i can just get the few that i'm maintaining for others to be updated, i'll be a bit happier ;)

It seemed to work right the first time for me and FUTURE4FIDO using
Vince's instructions a few months ago! LOL

Yes.. you have a lot going on with so many echos on your plate.

I like the notion that it runs so regularly (30 minutes?) ..so that we
can get feedback on the changes after changing things after several
    attempts.

The <tag>1.ECO <tag>2.ECO and <tag>3.ECO feature is forward thinking.
