Pepper; to taste
Salt; to taste
Nutmeg; to taste
Brown sugar; to taste
French toast is easier to prepare and master than pancakes, yet the
egg and milk batter transform ordinary bread into a rich tasting
meal. Here's a cheesy adaptation that increases the flavor and the
amount of protein.
Mix eggs, cheese, and spices in a pot. Soak bread in mixture. Fry
pieces individually until browned. Serve with syrup or topping.
