1 1/2 c Dry lentils
1/4 c Raw rolled oat flakes
5 tb Tomato paste
2 Eggs; beaten
1 ds Worcestershire sauce; up

Butter

1/4 lb Fresh mushrooms
1 sm Green pepper
1 Celery rib
1 sm Carrot
2 cl Garlic
1 sm Onion
1 c Walnuts

1 ts Salt
Black pepper
1 ts Chili powder
1/2 ts Dry mustard
Soak and cook lentils until tender.
Finely dice vegetable ingredients. Saute vegetable ingredients in
butter with spice ingredients.
Combine saute with base ingredients including lentils. Mash
moderately, but not so much that the vegetable chunks are lost.
Mix well. Form into large, flat patties. Chill 1 hour.
Broil on both sides or fry in butter. Try broiling some cheddar
cheese on top.
