    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Vesta Bushnell's King-Sized Snaps
    Categories: Cookies
    Yield: 18 Cookies

    1 c Sugar
    3/4 c Shortening
    1 Egg; slightly beaten
    1/4 c Molasses
    2 c Flour
    1 ts Cloves
    1 ts Ginger
    1 ts Cinnamon
    3 ts Baking soda

    Sift flour with salt, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda. Cream
    shortening. Add sugar. Blend in egg and molasses. Then stir in flour
    mixture. Shape dough into 1-1/2" balls, roll in sugar. Place 3 inches
    apart on ungreased pan. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
