    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Herman Peach Cobbler
    Categories: Pies, Fruits, Pastry
    Yield: 9 Servings

    1 c Herman Starter
    1/2 c Oil
    3 lg Eggs
    1/2 c Milk
    1 ts Vanilla
    2 c All-purpose flour
    1 c Sugar
    1 1/2 ts Baking powder
    1/2 ts Baking soda
    2 ts Cinnamon
    1/2 ts Salt
    6 oz Box instant pudding mix
    29 oz Can peach slices; drained

    Mix herman starter, oil, eggs, milk and vanilla. Add all
    dry ingredients. Mix well. This is a thick batter.

    Drain peaches and place in a greased 9" x 13" baking
    pan. Spoon batter over peaches. Bake at 325ºF/165ºC for
    30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with half and half or
    cream.

    Peach cobbler is a desert food, sort of like pie but not (usually) as
    sweet. I also think of it as a "country" food, so you might have fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and/or black-eyed peas, and corn on
    the cob, and then have a peach cobbler (maybe with some vanilla ice cream)
    at the end of the meal.
